| Title | Description | Medium | Work on Turbulence |
| Filmed at Urbandale Plaza in the eastern suburbs of Buffalo N.Y., urbandale is a study of America's suburban sprawl stripped to its barest essentials and void of unnecessary contemporary cultural influence. This film captures the sly, bland smile strip plazas cast at modern culture. The film, rendered in text, focuses on the repetitive motion of food stuffs being cooked in the lobby of a discount department store. Commissioned by Turbulence.org | Silkscreen print | data

| Mariam Ghani: The Index of the Interval |
Radically redacted lists of National Security Letters issued by the Department of Justice to libraries and ISPs since the passage of the Patriot Act and recently released in response to an ACLU FOIA request are stacked into twin columns that tabulate the balance between liberty and security. A handwritten text inscribed over the inverted blackouts reads: "The index of democracy is the interval between inquiry and information. The index of disappearance is the equal and opposite measure of the degree of silence and erasure which meets our difference and dissent." |

| Yael Kanarek: Schedule Task |
Inside Yael Kanarek's ever-expanding World of Awe universe, lies a storyspace that considers the relationship between memory, travel and technology. Machines and emotions share common ground in the territory charted by Kanarek. Boundaries between virtual, mystical and physical realities explode and reconfigure. In Schedule Task (2004) a figure draped in sheer organza ribbon storing source code for the kernel directory of the Linux operating system, tests the garment as a second skin, or soft wear, and executes basic operating system functions. |
